This was an action packed romance that absolutely kept me wanting more from the story. She is a Mortal Seer and He is a Raven Shifter forced to marry to save his tribe. With tons of turns and twist this book kept me on my toes! In my opinion this could be read as a stand alone but defiantly has the potential to gravitate to the side characters romances as well.

Fourth Wing is one of my all time favorite books, i read this just last month ( July 2024 ) after seeing so much hype over the story. Sometimes when something gets a lot of attention it falls short in the story department. Not at Basgiath War College, this action pact fantasy romance has me HOOKED. i resonated so much with Vi and her injuries as well as feeling like the weak link. (My military time was cut short due to a major injury to my lower half leaving me with a limp and massive amounts of pain to this day.) Seeing Vi end up the way she did in this story helped me over come some major hurtles in my own life and made me want to do better no matter my now disabilities. I don’t want to spoil the book for you but i will tell you that this is a Fantasy novel you don’t want to miss!
The plot in this story is wonderful, I love beauty and the beast retellings. However i was not ready for the amount of Adult Content in this book. I’m still currently reading this series as of (August 2024) and the next book so far also has a lot of smut. I know some may not enjoy a massive amount of smut while reading the book, i don’t mind some but i feel when trying to get through these books and its ever time the main characters have a intense moment they wanna get it on, and I’m trying to find out if another character lived or died but I need to get through 6 pages of Intercourse before the go check on the character. To each there own, when in the actual story it is a beautiful romance between two unlikely suiters. I still say give it a chance, in no way are the smut scenes bad, but i like a little more story with my smut.
This hidden gem that i haven’t heard people talk about nearly enough. This is the SLOWEST burn I’ve ever read but the story is so beautifully written. I’m a sucker for sunshine/grumpy character romances. This book has so much comedy throughout it I cant tell you how many times i laughed out loud. I beg you too give this whole series a try, i know it may not be for everyone but the ending to this series is worth all the slow burning trouble! i promise!
