Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
- 1.5 pounds of ground beef (crumbled
- 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Ray’s
- 2 cups of cheddar cheese (I buy the bagged Great Value)
- 1 teaspoon of dried onion flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 3 ounces of cream cheese (cut into small cubes)
- 1 pound of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1/2 cup of salted butter (melted)
- 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
- 1 to 2 packages of Hawaiian rolls (Does not have to be name brand, Sara Lee has Hawaiian Rolls cheaper and Fit in the pan)
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
Steps
1
Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit, Make sure you have a 9 x 13 baking dish, a medium sized mixing bowl and a skillet to cook ground beef in.
2
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook till medium then add sea salt, pepper, and onion flakes to the skillet. Cook on medium heat until the meat in no longer pink. (if you haven’t already cooked and crumbled the bacon i would do so at this time, you can cut the bacon into smaller pieces if needed and you can cook more at a time). Drain the grease from the ground beef.
3
In the mixing bowl, stir in the cream cheese that you’ve cubed, barbecue sauce and Dijon mustard into the meat mixture. Place the Rolls into the 9 x 13 Casserole dish and halve the second set of rolls to completely fill the casserole dish. Slice off the tops of the rolls all at once then place the bottoms of the rolls into the casserole dish and set the top to the side.
4
Sprinkle one cup of cheese over the bottom part of the rolls in the casserole dish, top with your meat mixture. Sprinkle the Bacon evenly over the meat mixture and then come back in with the remainder of the cheese. Place the top of the rolls back into place and Melt the butter in a microwave safe dish and stir the sesame seeds into it. Pour the butter mixture over the rolls, (I recommend using and brush to get and even coat but if you want to smother and cover it i understand).
5
Cover the assembled sliders with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden and heated through. ( Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes if you’d like the tops a little more crispy.)
